Readerware - Music, Video & Book Database Software
Nowadays, a lot of users have impressive music and video collections, which they have made in time. Not to mention shelves full of books. Due to the large number of these items, it's a very good idea to keep track of them and to put them all in a catalog. A software that can do just that is Readerware. It's basically a collection on three programs, each one of them being able to catalog a certain item. Thus, Readerware includes three programs for storing information regarding books, audio CDs and video DVDs. This way, a user can quickly find a desired item even if he has got a quite impressive collection.
The program installs in no time and requires only a few clicks for completing this operation. It's compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows, from XP to Windows 7. It takes up little hard disk space and requires below-average system resources.
Speaking about the interface, the three applications have a similar interface. When launching any of the three programs for the first time, a message will pop-up, asking the user to create a new database or open an existing one. After having created the new database, the user can easily add titles to it. Speaking about videos, Readerware allows adding various information for each entry, for example, the title of the movie, the type of storage, which can be DVD, CD, Blu-Ray or VHS tape, the language, genre and so on. Besides that, every movie can have its own thumbnails, for allowing the user to quickly spot a desired title out of many movies. The same is available for music and books.
Every program has its own database, that can be backed up, for safe keeping all its elements. Besides that, any collection of items can be printed directly. Every application included in Readerware allows the user to quickly search for a certain item and also allows importing information about a title directly from the Internet, easing the process of entering data.
Pros:
It allows quickly and easily organizing books, music and videos. Besides that, every item in the catalog can have a lot of information added, including a cover, for quickly finding a desired item. Furthermore, the database that contains all the items can be backed up, for safe keeping.
Cons:
The large amount of information available for each item and the large number of options and settings may confuse a first time user.
Readerware is the perfect software for cataloging different sorts of items, making them easier to find.
